The Lameness Locator is a wireless motion analysis system used in lameness evaluations. The lightweight motion sensors are placed in 3 locations on your horse, and all sensor motion data is transmitted wirelessly to a tablet for immediate analysis of the data. The data allows us to detect very subtle lameness that the naked eye cannot perceive. It can also be useful in detecting possible multiple limb lamenesses, compensating limb lamenesses, the part of the stride the pain is occurring, and finally to be used to asses the effectiveness of diagnostic blocks and treatment plans. Although this is a great supplemental tool it is not meant to replace the human element of diagnosing equine lameness.
